The Tale of Iyo
Chapter 1
And the story of Iyo begins…
Once you’ve finished all of the Story missions and have reached at least a 100 Ki, you’ll be able to start the Tale of Iyo. This is the 4 person raid of Ghost of Tsushima Legends. Once you’ve got a team and started you’ll have to do some puzzles and challenges in order to progress.
Overlook
You’ll start the raid under a tree, and once you continue a bit, you’ll come to a place called “Overlook”. Here you’ll have to find 3 Crystals and place them near a “Bloodgate” in order to continue.
You can find these crystal by “popping” the eggs scattered around the area. These are at set places, so once you know them, you can always find them. They can be popped by killing enemies right next to them that explode. Two explosions are needed to pop 1 egg. Try to be fast! You’re on a timer!
Continuing on
After placing the last crystal, the gate will disappear and you can continue on. You do have the option to complete the 1st chest before you do though. Look around to see where you can find it! You will need 2 people to open it.
After this jump towards the grapple points and continue the raid. Be mindful though, this is a point of no return!
Road to the Village
After the grapples across, you’ll find a small jumping puzzle, use teamwork! After that you have the option to complete the second chest. This is right before the “Eyes of Iyo”. Continue and dodge the Eyes, you’ll get stuck if not. Have a teammate hit you to get unstuck! Now you’re arriving in the Village, a place where you’ll have loads to do.
Cleansing the Village
When you first arrive in the Village, it’ll be overrun by enemies, clear out all the enemies while looking out for the Eyes. Once you’ve done this, gather at the bloodgate and activate the ritual. Now Disciples will spawn. They’ll be marked and easy to find. Kill them and grab their “essence” deposit this in the well. Make sure one person is always on the well, otherwise it will wain! Once you have deposited enough essence the door will open.
The Abyss
Right after passing through the gate, to your right you’ll have the option to open another chest.
After this, you’ll be at the Abyss, a jumping puzzle you’ll need to cross through teamwork. Be careful, you’ll have to stand still for long periods while Eyes are passing! Take care and free each other!
The Attunements
By playing the story missions you’ll have experience with attunements, now you’ll have to work as a team by breaking the totems the right color. You’ll also have to jump on the right colored platform in order to progress. Be smart about how you break all the totems, 1 color you’ll have to break twice! Works as a team and you’ll get there.
Another Chest
After the platforming you’ll find the green totem, and opposite it, a crystal. After you’ve destroyed the green totem and grabbed blue, have someone stay up top, while someone destroys the first blue. after this have that person grab blue again to destroy the last blue totem. , Grab the crystal up to as well and jump down with it and look where to place it, it’ll lead you to the second to last chest!
The bridge and the final hurdle
Breaking the final totem opens the gate and you can continue on. Be careful though, there are Eyes and invisible enemies on the bridge. Cross it and prepare for the last challenge: Kami Ridge. In the last challenge each of the players must complete a challenge which tests their skill. They must grab this challenge around the final area and kill 8 enemies while being impaired.
Kami Ridge
Kami Ridge is a challenge where players have a limited amount of time to complete their challenge and ascend. The ascensions are found around the area. Only 1 person can complete 1 challenge, so everyone has to work hard.
The challenges are:
– No Melee
– No Class Ability
– No Dodging
– No Ranged Combat
If you go down while the ascension is active, you’ll have to grab it again and start over! Work as a team!
The end..?
After the ascensions you can take a much needed breather, but good news, you’re as good as done. You can choose to go left directly after the bell and find the final chest, or you can continue and finish the chapter. You’ll get 5 rewards as standard, and for each chest you’ll gain 1 more reward.
Congratulations! You’re now able to try Chapter 2, which is seen as longer and much more difficult! So you better prepare!
