The Curse of the Onibaba
The Curse of the Onibaba is the second story mission of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. It revolves around the ghosts setting out on a journey to stop Iyo, an onibaba, and her army before it was too late and the army became invincible.
Game Mechanic – Disciples of Iyo
Disciples of Iyo heal nearby enemies making those enemies very difficult to kill. Enemies being healed have a red aura above their head. Additionally, disicples have both ranged and melee attacks. Disciples of Iyo should be targeted prior to most other enemies.
Chapter 1
The legendary ghosts set out to stop Iyo and army. They begin at a camp where they find a Disciple of Iyo empowering Mongols. A wounded monk has been captured and is being held prisoner. After defeating the disciple and the guards, the ghosts free the monk, but it is too late. The monk warns the ghosts that Iyo is inside of him and feeding off him. The ghosts head into the forest, following Iyo.
Objectives
- Conquer the Disciple of Iyo
- Defeat the disciple guards
- Rescue the captive monk
- Enter the Torii Gate to stop the onibaba
Chapter 2
After passing through the gate, the ghosts arrive in the forest to find more Mongols empowered by Iyo’s Disciples. The ghosts defeat the Disciples and the Mongols but Iyo herself has ventured onward with more captured monks. The ghosts continue to follow her, hoping to prevent Iyo from draining the monks’ spirits.

- Defeat the Mongol guards
- Enter the Torii Gate to rescue the monks
Chapter 3
The ghosts arrive in a mysterious village to find several monks held prisoners. After defeating the army, the ghosts find Iyo had already drained the spirit of each monk, leaving them alive but nothing more than a husk each time. Iyo has once again evaded the ghosts and this part of the story is over.
