The Tale of Uchitsune
The Tale of Uchitsune is the fourth story mission of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. It revolves around freeing an archer of great power named Uchitsune from Iyo, who is feeding off his spirit.
Game Mechanic – Spirit Bow
The Spirit Bow is another method for dealing with attuned enemies. Shooting an attuned enemy with the bow will temporarily disable the attunement buff while also immobilizing smaller enemies. Shooting the same enemy again while they are temporarily disabled will remove the attunement entirely. In easier difficulties, this can be done by a single player. In harder difficulties, a second player or Uchitsune himself will be needed for the second shot since the bows effects do not last as long.
The Spirit Bow is also used to shoot attunement circles. Two shots from the bow are required to activate the circle. Circles are more prevalent in the raids and have varying results once activated.
Chapter 1
The ghosts set out to free Uchitsune. Iyo has enslaved and tortured him due to her fears of his skills that rivaled her own. The ghosts begin at his dojo to find both a spirit Uchitsune and a bow blessed by the kami. Using the bow to remove the kami protections from the Mongols, they clear the dojo of enemies and continue on to Hioyoshi Springs to look for a way to end the onibaba’s curse.
Objectives
- Search the dojo for Uchitsune
- Free the dojo of Mongols
- All Ghosts equipped with Spirit Bow
- Conquer the Mongols with the Spirit Bow
- Enter the Torii Gate to free Hiyoshi Springs
Chapter 2
After passing through the gate, the ghosts find Hiyoshi Springs overrun with Mongols in search of Iyo’s power. One by one, they clear the inn, the village and the stables from the infestation. With Hiyoshi Springs safe once again, the ghosts follow Uchitsune for one last task to break the curse.

- Cleanse Hiyoshi of the Mongols
- Free the inn
- Free the village from the Mongols
- Conqueur the Mongols at the stables
- Enter the Torii Gate with Uchitsune
Chapter 3
The ghosts travel to the heart of Hiyoshi Springs and use Uchitsune’s bow to break the curse. Iyo’s army rushes to stop them but are no match for the ghosts and the mighty bow. The Mongols are slain, the curse and broken, and Uchitsune’s spirit is freed.
